This page describes how to use the /rename command

Command

/rename New Room Name

Typing the /rename New Room Name command will change the name of the temporary channel. Users should replace New Room Name with whatever they would like their new room to be called.

There is currently no bad words filter. This is coming in a future update but for now is not available so you will need to police this yourself.

When a room owner has successfully changed the room name they will receive a message like below:

Required Permissions

In the event that PartyBeast does not have the correct permissions to make the changes required to kick a user or change the permissions to ban a user you will receive the following error message:

In this case you should check that the PartyBeast role has the following permissions available on the category where new channels are created. Be aware that this should apply to any roles which you have assigned PartyBeast:

• View Channel

• Manage Channel

• Manage Permissions

• Connect

• Manage Members
